Overview

In August of 1920, women in America were finally granted the right to vote. This outcome came after years of tireless effort from women around the nation determined to empower their American sisters with this fundamental right.

Known as Suffragists, one such activist working for the right to vote in Michigan, was Margaret Hankey Curtis (1878-1950), Great-Grandmother to Impact100 Founder, Wendy Steele.

This empowering moment inspires each of us to honor and celebrate how far we have come together. Building upon the legacy of women, empowerment, and leadership, during the month of August, Impact100 Council invites all U.S. chapters to #RaiseYourCup to celebrate with a virtual EqualiTEA hosted within their local communities. These events are designed to reflect, celebrate and honor the women of our past, present and future. We will join with our special national partners S’well and local Girl Scout Councils around the U.S.

EqualiTEA Implementation Ideas – It’s as simple as 1,2,3!

Make it fun, educational and purpose driven. These activities are designed to celebrate and share the empowerment and Impact of women. Recognizing that Covid19 remains a constraint and widely variable factor in the ability to hold events or gatherings, we are offering a list of virtual ways that you can participate.

Celebrate with Impact100 Council and #RaiseYourCup in solidarity and celebration of the centennial of the 19th Amendment. We will celebrate and connect the generations of women past, present and future with our partners S’well and local Girl Scout Councils.

We hope you are inspired to share your Cup of Inspiration, Love, Wisdom or Courage in honor of this historic accomplishment and to every woman who will impact our next 100 years.
